33 years of NDC

Unity Stability Development are the motto of the NDC and are based on the premise that the party already embodies the principles of Accountability, Transparency, Probity, Integrity. These are the bedrock of our forthcoming Republic.

Today, as we celebrate our 33rd Anniversary, I honour the memory of my father, Our Founder, our late President, Flt Lt Rtd Jerry John Rawlings. I honour the memories of those who stood with him to consolidate on the democratic principles of good governance, Rule of Law and a deep love for Ghana and the people of this country.

Today, the NDC is in power to once again restore the hope of our nation. The restoration of hope is based on tangible results that we all have a responsibility to deliver on. To restore hope is to put aside parochial interests and put our country first. To set aside immediate gratification and focus on building transgenerational wealth, reestablish strong institutions, enshrine consequence management, and eschew arrogance of power at all levels.

Let us be mindful that all persons, appointed and elected, are custodians of power and responsibility for the people of Ghana, and not for their personal gain or families. The people of Ghana have always set a higher standard for the National Democratic Congress, and for good reason too.

We must remain true to our values and principles and serve the people of Ghana with honour, integrity, humility and dignity.

Long live Ghana, Long live the National Democratic Congress.
