Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings

Pre-political Life

Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for the Korle Klottey constituency, is the first of four children of former first couple of Ghana, the late Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings and Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings. She was born on 1st June 1978 and had her basic education at North Ridge Lyceum and Achimota Primary School. She later proceeded to Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast, graduating in 1996. Driven by a passion for medicine, she pursued her education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), earning LRCP & SI, MB, BCh. and BAO (NUI) in 2003. Her ten years of experience in General Practice and Family Medicine prior to her parliamentary career reflect her unwavering commitment to healthcare and community well-being.

Parliamentary Work

Currently in her second term as an Honourable Member of Parliament representing the Klottey-Korle Constituency, Ghana, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings is a dedicated advocate for inclusivity and empowerment, with a strong focus on women and youth. She serves as the Deputy Ranking Member on the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defence and Interior and is an active member of the Business Committee.
As a member of various international organisations, including the Climate Parliament, African Parliamentary Union, and Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings has represented Ghana at numerous international events. Her contributions extend beyond legislative duties, as she has participated in panels, conferences, and missions worldwide, advocating for various important issues.
