Overview

Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP 🇬🇭hosted Female Members of Regional and District Parliaments from Hamburg🇩🇪 Irene Appiah, Asiye Censi, Sarah Timmann, Benizar Gündogdu @benizarx, Khadija Abena Awudu @khadija_awd, who came to Ghana to learn about our democratic processes. They were accompanied by Johann Ivanov and Michael Abbey of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung-Ghana. We did two presentations on the two projects prior to the field trip to provide the background and context to two projects I embarked on as Member of Parliament. The first was on the retrofitted stoves at the Osu Night Market where we showed quantitatively the reduction in Carbon monoxide and particulate emissions and improved efficiency of the stoves. The second presentation was on the Digital Business Transformation Agenda of the Artisans at the Arts Centre, Accra. 🌍 At the Osu Night Market, I was accompanied by my Constituency Chairman and Assemblyman for Osu Doku North, where our guests got to see the a couple of the old stoves compared to our reduced emission (less polluting), energy efficient stoves. They also had a brief interaction with some of the women in the market. At the Osu Night Market, I was accompanied by my Constituency Chairman and Assemblyman for Osu Doku North Mr Benjamin Kotey, where our guests got to see a couple of the old stoves compared to our reduced emission (less polluting), energy efficient stoves. They also had a brief interaction with some of the women in the market.🙂 At the Arts Centre, we were warmly welcomed with a performance by some of the artistes. Subsequently Chairman Affum and Alhaji Tanko gave a background of the Arts Centre and presented customised souvenirs to each of the MPs. The guided tour of the Arts Centre was led by talented artist and SDGs Art Ambassador @patrickwilliamdodoo. The onboarding of artisans onto Instagram is one of my business transformation initiatives where I partner with technical experts to design or redesign critical aspects of business for a stakeholder group in the constituency.📱 The focus for artisan stakeholder group, is to strengthen their online visibility and increase their online engagement to help visitors order before they visit and also enable fulfillment of sales to wherever the customers are ordering from. We are working with the Ashesi Design Lab in the Ashesi Entrepreneurship Centre to build and help implement the onboarding and fulfillment protocols and models under supervision.
