The three health facilities include the Adabraka Polyclinic, Osu Maternity Clinic and the Tema Station Clinic.

Presenting the items, Dr Zanetor said the reason for making the donation to the health institutions is to help reduce the risk of transmission of the Coronavirus.

According to her, the three health facilities are some of those health centers that a large number of residents, especially pregnant women and the aged seek medical care, hence the donation.

Halt the transfer of virus by touch

She charged residents of the constituency to take rote time measures by washing their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-containing antiseptic solution.

Government must offer support

Additionally, people are advised to keep a distance of approximately one meter from the interlocutors with signs of the disease and as well try not to touch their eyes, lips, and nose with their hands as the virus could penetrate through the mucous membranes.

This, Dr Zanetor asked the constituents to consult a doctor when they notice symptoms like fever, cough, shortness of breath.

She used the opportunity to call on the government to support the local pharmaceutical industry to produce medicine to help the local health facilities to fight the deadly Coronavirus.

Officers of the beneficiary facilities who received the items expressed gratitude to the Klottey Korle lawmaker and promised to use them for the purpose intended.
