Unfortunate Occurance at Odawna Market Overview 2020, what a year! Whilst conferring with family in Kumasi about the loss of daddy, I heard about the unfortunate news of fire gutting the Odawna Market. I had to return to commiserate with the traders, many of whom have lost everything. These hardworking women are the backbone of our local economy, and they deserve all the support we can marshal to get them back on their feet. These are indeed difficult days, but together we shall ride out the storm.

Rehabilitation of Odanta road and Eseefoo Roads Overview After three long years of lobbying, writing letters and asking questions on the floor of Parliament it finally yielded results!!! Odanta Road, which was known to be one of the worst roads in the constituency was a good place to begin. Flood Victims Overview Klottey-Korley. 8 June 2020. Highest water levels yet! Flood waters rose as people slept. The devastating effect on lives and livelihoods is all the reason we need to address this issue with the level of urgency it deserves. The re-engineering of our drainage, de-silting of existing drains, the proper management of solid waste, adherence to building regulations, enforcement of our laws…government, individual and collective responsibility.

Easter: Fed over 200 Kayaye (female head porters) at the Osu market and 700+ at Tema station. Overview Easter serves as a reminder of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. His self sacrifice for our salvation must motivate us to also stand in the gap for those less privileged. With Christ as our inspiration, my team and I today fed over 200 kayaye (female head porters) at the Osu market and another 700+ at Tema station. Together we shall overcome this pandemic.

To this end, my team and I yesterday donated over two thousand loaves of bread, bags of sachet water and chocolate powder to the vulnerable in my constituency as part of efforts to help them cope with the ongoing lockdown.

Free Health Screening Overview As we celebrate 63 years of independence, it is important to note that true independence must be reflective in all sectors of our economy – be it economic, jobs, infrastructure, agriculture, industry and health. For me, independence means my people having the ability to access quality healthcare. It is in the light of this that I consistently organise periodic Free Health Screenings for my constituents. Donation to police stations within my constituency Overview The police play a significant role in ensuring that we go about our duties safely without looking over our shoulders. Therefore, we all need to support them in various ways for effective policing duties. To this end, yesterday I donated 7 motorcycles to 4 police stations within my constituency. I would also like to take this opportunity to urge my constituents and all Ghanaians to endeavour to volunteer timely information to aid the work of the Ghana Police Service to enable them fight crime effectively.

A day with senior citizens in my constituency Overview It was an honour and a blessing to spend the day with senior citizens in my constituency. These are the people who sowed seeds and now we sit in the shades of those trees. It’s time to carry it forward! Now it’s our turn to honour them and show appreciation for all they’ve done for us and our great nation.
